The PFCS protocol allows remote control, in a timely manner, of the tightening process, that is, the succession of operations, the indication of the clamp to be selected and the relative program to be performed.
The PFCS protocol allows remote control, in a timely manner, of the tightening process, that is, the succession of operations, the indication of the clamp to be selected and the relative program to be performed.
In any case, the definition of the parameters of the tightening programs and the control of objectification remains to the COIL control unit.
There are three modes regarding the operation of the COIL system assisted by the PFCS protocol:
- Automatic; maximum integration between COIL and remote service; the COIL system works as a 'slave'.
- Semi-automatic; the remote connection is suspended but the operator can follow a previously remotely provided table with information on the tightening process. Operational results are not lost but will subsequently be transferred to the company server when the outage is restored.
- Manual; it is up to the operator to carry out the tightening operations according to the instructions received. Operational results are not lost but will subsequently be transferred to the company server when the outage is restored.
The PFCS protocol is implemented on a PC with a touch screen that represents the only operational interface between the user and the system, except for the initial setting of the tightening programs.
